Me Myself and I

For this project, we looked to the past. We looked at 3 stages of our life. Early childhood, elementary, and middle school. I tried to remember distinct memories that I had and activities that I loved. By doing so, I was able to capture snapshots of my childhood.

Class Biographies

As the year slowly draws to a close, we took this project to commend each of our classmates. We took a closer look into their "styles," as well as take pictures using what we had learned about them.

Eric:
Eric's photos are so interesting! They have great textures, and such depth. They are overall inspiring.

Abby:
Abby loves to set the scene, by using these great figurines! She is an amazing story-teller through her photography, and I love it!

Alex:
I wouldn't say that Alex has a set "style," but I did notice that he enjoyed to photograph action. So, I decided to take a photo of him jumping!

Carlos:
When Carlos's photos aren't slightly comical, they are amazingly edited. He has an awesome photographic eye!

Chuan:
Chuan's photos are sort of quirky, and different. Nevertheless her photos are genius, and have such a imagination to them.

Ian:
Ian is a minimalist when it comes to his photography. They are so single, yet intricate at the same time. Not much editing, just the raw photo, which are already perfect as they are! His photos are pretty inspiring.

Johanna:
Johanna's photos are usually full of emotion. Whether happy or sad, she always has a true vision, and isn't afraid to say it!

Sam:
Sam's photos tend to be on the darker side, but nevertheless, they are always edited amazingly and extremely interesting!

Thomas:
Tommy likes to have subjects to photograph, whether it be shoes or even pigeons. I just couldn't resist using this photo as a representation, because it is such a great photo that captures his personality!

Song Interpretation

For this assignment, we could pick any song we chose and interpret them into 3 photos. I picked a song called "Make You Crazy" by Brett Dennen. What I take from this song is how the outside can be so overwhelming, it is almost impossible to stay sane. In my 3 photos, I wanted to have the feeling of isolation from the outside world, but still an understanding of what is going on around you. Her life is surrounded by influence, and she has found ways to live in a way that is not run by society.

Experimental Sketchbook 2

For this assignment, we played around with editing, while using words to convey different messages. I used picnik.com and pixlr-o-matic to edit.
